{nl}{nl}{nl}{nl}{nl}The weather was perfect and the grandstands were packed as Elga Credit Union presented Autograph Night at Auto City on Saturday, August 28th.  And there was some great racing as well.{nl}     Point leader Kyle Hayden set fast time for the Auto City Super Stocks with a 15.50.  Dennis Rederstorf won the dash while Michael Burkley took heat race honors.  In the 40-lap feature Lonnie Saumier, Jr. jumped out in front from his 3rd starting position and pulled away to a big lead.  Hayden worked his way through the field and the chase was on.  Saumier his car to the limit trying to stay ahead of Hayden, but LJ lost control in turn 1 with just 6 laps to go.  Hayden held off Rederstorf and Jeff Owens to take the win, while Terry Bogusz and Wayne Howe rounded out the top 5.{nl}     Julian Fluty had quick time for the Modern Concrete Street Stocks with a 15.33.  Point leader Adam Rowe took the dash while heat races went to Bob Hiney and Joe Ward.  Rick smith pulled ahead early to start the 30-lap feature.  Three laps later Axle Foley took over the lead, but on the next lap Rob Sullivan jumped out in front.  Mike Walther caught up with him and the two drivers ran side-by-side for several laps until Walther finally got by on 21.  Walther held on for his feature of the year.  Rowe took second followed by Sullivan, Fluty and Rob Blandino.{nl}     Jordan Lechota has been on fire this season and the point kept it up by setting fast time for the Mt. Morris-Clio Pure Stocks with a 16.52.  The dash went to Chad Lamson and heat race winners were Mike Barrett and Rex Perry.  The 25-lap feature was a wild one as Tony Williams took the early lead.  Lonnie Saumier, Jr. got by on lap 7 until Scott Beach got by 3 laps later.  But engine trouble took him out of the race on lap 15 giving the lead back to Saumier.  LJ held the top spot until lap 20 when Lamson took over with Duane Damon in hot pursuit.  The two battled wheel to wheel until the final lap when Damon got underneath Lamson and the "Pitbull" nosed Chad out by a foot at the finish line.  Rounding out the top 5 were Lechota, Nick Johnston and Andrew Burton.{nl}     The Spaulding Insurance Virtual 6's - Cory Lipe took the lead on the first lap of the 12-lap feature and never looked back for his second feature win.  Pinnell finished second rounding out the top 5 were Daniels, Shane McMullen and Huryan.{nl}     Twenty cars stated the Bob Kern's Auto Repair Krazy 8, and despite some close calls at the intersection, Chad Lamson was able to stay out of trouble to take the win.  Gerald Persails, Jr. took second followed by Andrew Burton, Tony Williams and Rick Dinius, III.{nl}     It's "Maximum Destruction" this Saturday, Sept 4th sponsored by GLS (Genesee Lapeer Shiawassee  Building Trades Union)   Any Union member from any union will get $3.00 off general admission racing start at 6:30 pm ,come early to get your favorite seat!!   “The  Big Bike Give-A-Way”---All Kids Will Get a Chance To Join in On A Bike Silent Auction.
