All Pro Late Models (aka. Limited Late Models) are subject to the Pro Late Model rules posted on the Auto City Speedway web site. This series was created to reward the drivers & car owners for their loyalty & support in helping Auto City Speedway provide a top quality race series for the race fans.

ELIGIBILITY RULES

1)  You must have competed in race #1 to be eligible for the posted purse in race #2. If you did  not compete in race #1 and you compete in race #2 – your pay will be your finishing position as if you were in race #1.

2)  You must have competed in race #1 & #2 to be eligible for the posted purse in race #3.                     

    a)    If you did not compete in race #1 or #2 and you compete in race #3 – your pay will be your finishing position as if you were in race #1    

   b)  If you competed in only one of the two previous races (#1 or #2) and you compete in race #3 – your pay will be your finishing position as if you were in race #2.

3)  A registration fee will be required to compete. $20 each race, $45 all three. No refunds!

4) Pit passes will be $25.00

This is a Invitation Race. You will be subject to your home track rules! Please remember to bring a copy of your home track rules to avoid any confusion or discrepancies. If you cannot produce a copy of your rules during your technical inspection, you will be subject to the Auto City Speedway rules posted on the web site. NO EXCEPTIONS! 

NOTE: NO RADIOS OR MIRRORS WILL BE ALLOWED FOR THIS RACE. 

TIRES & WHEELS: 8″ or 10′ rims will be allowed. Must maintain proper tread width per your track rules (+ or – 1″)

Hoosier 970’s only!  you must start feature with the tires you qualified with. No Exceptions! & No Soaking!   No Registration Fee!

Clio, Mi. (May 8^th) – Change of Date…  Auto City Speedway and Miller Lite has been informed of a change of date regarding Brad Keselowski appearance…With all of Brad commitments, Penske Racing has request a change of date…the new date is Thursday, August 16^th… “We are please to help Brad  and Penske Racing in anyway…as to get Brad here to Auto City Speedway” said  Joe DeWitte…The Champion Racing Association -JEGS/CRA All Star Tour Series was rescheduled  with CRA co-owner R. J. Scott…Also the Lafontaine Performance Center Super Stocks –are also scheduled for this race, named the “BRAD 100″. Also racing that night are the Tiger Street Stocks, in the “Miller Lite 50”. “We had a couple of conflicts and this date will really works well with those…The Kalamazoo Klash XX is schedule for Wednesday and many race fans would of had to choose”..Now they can go to both!! Make plan now to see Brad on Thursday August 16th; detail to this event will be promoted soon!!

Cool temperatures, didn’t keep the fans away as Cinco de Mayo and a full moon made for some “Wild Racing Action” as Auto City Speedway launched its 2012 season on Saturday, May 5th.  Six divisions were on the track, and the thunder rolled as they all put on a great show!

     LaFontaine Performance Center has come on board as the new sponsor for the Super Stocks, and David McManus set fast time with a lap of 15.45.  Dan Leeck was victorious in the dash while former champ Kyle Hayden won the heat race.  Hayden jumped out in front to start the 40-lap feature.  “The Professor” held the top spot until a restart on 27, when McManus took over the lead on the bottom.  “The Juice” pulled away to claim the victory with Hayden right behind.  Rounding out the top was Leeck, defending track champion Jeff Owens and Lonnie Saumier, Jr.

     The Midwest Racing Scene Sportsman’s are a new points division at Auto City this year, and they paced in qualifying by Jon Giffel at 17.31 on the 1/2 mile.  Kevin Harder came from the rear to take the heat race.  Jason Burd started on the pole in the 30-lap feature and led the first 2 laps.  Then it was Harder’s turn the lead the pack and he held the lead until lap 16.  Jim Severn in his brand-new Monte Carlo took over and held off a charger at the end from Giffel to take the win.  Finishing out the top were Jeff Warren, Adam Rowe and Burd.

     It was a fast night on the 1/4 mile, but it was also a night of attrition.  Defending Pure stock champ Jordan Lechota made his debut in the Tiger Auto Salvage Streets Stocks by setting fast time with a 15.03.  His big brother Nick took home the dash win while Rob Sullivan claimed the heat race.  Sullivan jumped in front to lead the 30-lap feature.  Defending track champion Adam Rowe took the lead on the outside on lap 8 and picked up right he left off last season.  Rowe pulled away to take the victory.  Sullivan held off Jordan Lechota, who spun out with just 3 laps to go, and finished second.  Jim Miller, Jr. returned to Auto City to claim third place, followed by Matt Mosier and Rob Kern.

     The Turbo Blue Michigan Legends Series was on hand as well, running their second event of 2012.  Heat races went to John Turnbull, Jr. and Loren Short.  Timmy Near took the early lead in the 30-lap feature and held it for the first 3 laps.  Turnbull took over the lead with Short and Matt Todd hot on his tail.  Short took the lead away on lap 15, but Turnbull was not giving up.  The two drivers ran side-by-side until lap 25 when Turnbull gained the advantage.  “J.T.Wheeler” did his traditional fence-climb after staying in front for the win.  Short took second followed by Todd, Tony Monge and Sean McPherson.

     The best race of the night might have been the first one in the Mt. Morris-Clio Herald Pure Stock division.  Lonnie Saumier, Jr. set fast time with a 16.42, just 1/100th of a second off the track record.  Saumier made it 4-wide on the first lap of the 4-car dash, and won the race coming out of turn 4 on the last lap going 3-wide!  Heat race winners were Andrew Burton and Chris Stearns.  The feature was wild, as 18 cars started but only 7 finished.  Burton took the lead, with 5 others running side-by-side in the early going.  The first caution flag flew when Saumier lost his right rear tire on the front straightaway.  On lap 7 Stearns pulled ahead with Duane Damon right behind.  “Tater” looked like, he had things his way until lap 21 when his right front tire came off in turn one.  That gave the lead to a hard-charging Damon, and the “Pit-bull” held on for the victory.  Kaylea Doering made a run at Damon but spun out on the last lap.  Scott Platz finished second followed by Andrea Baxter, Ryan Shelton and Mike Wines. Better luck, next time girls!!

      Defending champ Chad Lamson, driving a car he had never even sat in before, led every lap in the Bob Kern’s Auto Repair Figure-8 to take the win.  Gerald Persails, Jr. was second followed by Andrew Burton, Lonnie Saumier, Jr. and Duane Damon.

     It’s Mother’s Day weekend this Saturday at Auto City, and Moms can show a picture of their kids and get in for just $10. also it’s Fan Club Night (MARFC)… We will also be hosting the Race2Read Program from Mt.
