A Day at the Races
Auto City Speedway wants your family’s visit to the City to be a fun & entertaining experience. We offer so much more than just racing, so make sure to check the website (www.autocityspeedway.com) for a complete listing of the 2014 schedule of events. Below you will find several items that will make your trip easier & insure your visit to Auto City Speedway will be an enjoyable one!
The Auto City Speedway is excited about its 2014 season… We want all fans to have the best experience possible. To ensure that all fans have a pleasant experience at facility, each guest should act responsibly and be considerate of others. Be a good sport. The Auto City Speedway security personnel will respond to complaints of misconduct. Fans who fail to comply with Auto City Speedway policy after being warned will be subject to ejection or arrest.
Tickets: Our ticket offices are located just to right of the main entry gate of the speedway. Cash or credit cards are accepted (MC & Visa). Ticket Office opens for general seating at 4:30 pm. Tickets can also be brought at the office Monday-Friday.
Pit Entrance Tickets: Pit bands can be purchased near the right of the Pit entrance. Gate opens at 2:30. Children under 18 years of age must have a wavier signed by a parent, for entry.
Free Parking: Auto City Speedway always has free parking. We also have ample space for handicap parking. If you do ride your motorcycle to the race track, we have a special area of reserved paved parking for you also.
What to Wear: Casual attire is recommended at the speedway. Just remember, you are out in the outdoors, so dress accordingly for the elements, and don’t forget the sunscreen on sunny day and jacket and blanket on cool nights. Closed toed shoes & long pants are recommended in the pit area; we also require you to wear a shirt and shoes at all times while at the speedway. The races can get loud; ear plugs are available in the souvenir stand.
Restrooms: Auto City Speedway offers 2 set of restrooms. One set are located to the right near turn one under the grandstands. The other set is to the left of the front gate in front of the Turn Two lounge in turn four, and also one under the VIP suite for VIP rentals. There are also Porta-Johns in the pit area.
For the safety and comfort of fans, carry-in coolers of any kind are not permitted.
In the event of an emergency please notify one of the speedway employees or uniformed security officers in your area.
Handicapped and Disabled Accessible Parking:
Parking for Handicapped and Disabled guests is available. You must have a disabled parking pass issued by your state displayed in your window to access this parking area.
First Aid – Fan Care Centers:
We will have trained paramedics at the facility that will be able to provide both Basic and Advanced life support for both drivers and spectators.
Concession Stand (Fuel-Up Cafe): Located directly to your left as you enter the midway is our main concession stand. Auto City Speedway is noted for outstanding food. Please introduce yourself to our managers, Ken & Jo. Need something special let them know, we serve Dr. Pepper/ Snapple products and anything from Hot Dogs to Walking Taco’s with affordable prices for the entire family! No food or beverage will be permitted to be brought into the facility, if found, it will be confiscated.
Turn Two Lounge: Here you will find your adult beverages, beer by glass or buckets along with many of your favorite liquors’. Happy hour is between 5:00pm and 7:00pm, specials include $1.00 beers.
Race fans that consume alcohol are encouraged to drink responsibly. All alcohol sales will require a picture ID as proof of age. You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase alcohol. Auto City Speedway may refuse to serve alcoholic beverages to any person for any reason, including without limitations persons appearing intoxicated. The Auto City Speedway may report any persons in violation of the alcohol policy to the Mi State Police if they believe you are acting contrary to the law or in a manner which may endanger yourself, others or their property.
Auto City Speedway is required to and will comply with the State of Michigan Smoking Law. Smoking is allowed in the blue grandstands, and the open areas around and behind in the concourse area (with exceptions below).
Smoking is not allowed inside any of the buildings … any where! Smoking is not allowed in any lines/ designated table, where food can be consumed or purchased. This law includes the bathrooms, concession area, food stand, Pit Concession, Tire barn, Tech Alley, VIP area. Thank you for your understanding!
Souvenir Stand (Cuda’ Joes) The Speedway has a souvenir stand located in the midway. Here you can find all of your latest and greatest Auto City Speedway souvenirs & apparel. We offer programs, tee shirts, sweat shirts, hats, seat cushions, ear plugs, kid’s toys, candy and much more.
Photo & Video Booth: Skip at JSK Motorsports ([email protected]) located in the souvenir stand. Here you can purchase photos of your favorite drivers or a DVD of your favorite night of racing action.
Patrons caught throwing any items will be immediately removed from the property, with the possibility of being prosecuted under Michigan Law.
Lost and Found:
Articles found during an event will be turned into the lost and found at Auto City main office…
Auto City Speedway personnel will escort children who become separated from their families to the main office until their families are located. Parents reporting or inquiring about lost children should contact the nearest event staff employee or one of the uniformed police officers in their area.
The only animals allowed in the facility (except those which are part of an event) are guide dogs to aid the visually impaired, signal dogs to aid the hearing impaired and service dogs to aid the physically disabled. Other animals will not be allowed through the gates. All animals on speedway property MUST be kept on a 6 foot chain and cannot be left unattended.
Press Box/Media Center/Control Tower:
Only those holding the proper credentials will be allowed to enter the Press Box.
To ensure that all fans have a safe and enjoyable visit to the Auto City Speedway, the following items will not be permitted:
- Coolers of any size
- Glass containers
- Illegal drugs
- Alcoholic Beverages
- Other items that in the judgment of Auto City Speedway management pose a safety hazard or diminish the enjoyment of an event by other patrons.
All carry-in bags, large purses, blankets, sleeping bags etc…are subject to search by Auto City Speedway security personnel prior to entering the facility. Prohibited items or contraband that is discovered during security inspections at the Speedway entrances must either be returned to the owner’s vehicle or discarded.
Auto City Speedway security personnel will be stationed throughout the Speedway. Should you require assistance, please notify the nearest event staff employee. The appropriate person or agency will be dispatched to your location to assist you.
Camping: Auto City Speedway allows camping. We do not have hookups or water. We encourage our campers to use the far South end of the parking lot (grassy area) for their camp sites. Small fires are allowed as long as they stay contained.
VIP Rental: Do you have a company or group of people that you want to treat to a great night of racing, Auto City Speedway has a VIP Suite available for up to 100 people. Various packages with food and beverage with tickets can be arranged. Call the office for information 810-686-9500.
Group Rates/Specials: Do you want to bring your kids to the track for a birthday party? Have a big group of people that want to have a great time on a Saturday night? Auto City Speedway has many different group rates for all shapes and sizes. Call Sharon at the Speedway office today to reserve a section for your group.
Free Trip to the Pits: After each and every event at the speedway, the pit area is always open. Use this time to go down and meet the drivers and the stars of Auto City Speedway. Bring down your cameras, pictures and sharpies and get to know these guys and gals that put on our show.
