Results July 31st August1st

The weather was great and the action was hot as Auto City put on a big two-day show July 31st and August 1st.  Spaulding Life Insurance sponsored the Saturday racing while Suski Chevrolet-Buick of Birch Run helped treat the packed house to “Maximum Destruction” on Sunday.{nl}     The Great Lakes Nationals for the Michigan Legends Series happened on Saturday night with a strong field of Legends car in attendance.  Heat race winners were Chance rice, John Turnbull, Jr. and Tyler Rycenga.  Tony Monge jumped out in front to start the big 50-lap feature.  Four laps later Rycenga took over the spot but 2009 series champ Rice took over and stayed ahead for the victory.  Ben Rouster took second followed by Matt Todd, Rycenga and Monge.
