Devoted race fans and a stellar field of cars made for a memorable night of racing at Auto City Saturday,June 26th,as the Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint {nl}Cars made their first appearance at the Clio Speedplant.  A 2-hour rain delay couldn’t dampen the spirits of the capacity crowd, and they were rewarded with great racing. Canadian Ryan Litt paced the 25-car sprint car field in qualifying with a lap of 12.97. Heat races went to Jimmy McCune, Mike Ling and Jason Blonde. The race was broken down into two 20-lap qualifying features, followed by a 20-lap main event. Pennsylvania’s Travis Miniea stayed up front to win the first qualifier followed by Ling and Blonde. Hall of Famer “Hurryin’” Hank Lower pulled away from Dorman Snyder and Dave Baumgartner to take the second one. There was lots of action in the main event as McCune started up front and held off the field for the win.  New high school graduate Fason Cox took second ahead of Trot DeCaire, Litt and Ling.
