OPENING NIGHT

 OPENING NIGHT AT THE CITY{nl}Sunshine, blue skies, and some great storylines highlighted the opening night of racing at the Auto City Speedway Saturday, April 18th.  Six divisions were in action and they all put on a great show, while an array of families celebrated in victory lane.     Robbie Johnson set fast time for the Auto City Super Stocks with a 15.62, as the top 9 qialifiers were within 12/100′s of a second.  Brian Bauman won the dash while heat races went to Samuel Coulter and Kyle Hayden.  Bauman took the lead to start the 40-lap feature with defending track champion Terry Bogusz right behind.  Bogusz took over the top spot on lap 6 as Johnson began to reel in the leaders.  On lap 32 Robbie took over the lead and was unchallenged after Bogusz wound up in the turn 3 wall on lap 35.  Johnson took the victory followed by Hayden, Dennis Redersdorf, Lonnie Saumier, Jr. and Wayne Howe.
